Hi everybody,
i'd like to build myself a small h264 streaming video decoder and i am considering the tribbox as a possible platform. but i didn't find _any_ information what the interface to ST7109 looks like and how i can make my application play video/audio etc. through the chip. (OSD,Videooutput Configuration, etc. would be nice too...)

does anybody has some pointers for me?

thanks,

ben

Hi Ben,

The Tribbox does not come with a standard application, although in a few weeks time the Allsii Media Suite will be available for it (commercially).

If you want to build your own application, all the tools are available.

It is recommended though to get a STAPI 3rd party license, which will give you access to the proprietary (non-open source) API's from STMicroelectronics.

STAPI also includes testapps and sources that do h264 streaming.

Best regards,
Ron

Hi rene-roger,

The 3rd party license is free, we can facilitiate you with the required paperworks.

There is no direct support from ST though, for 3rd parties. Otherwise you have to get a full license whcih does have a price-tag.

pm if you want to go ahead with the 3rd party stapi agreement.

Best regards,
Ron

Hi,

PM me or email me at rvanherk@aht-international.com. I will send you the necessary information.

Please note though, that we can only facilitate STAPI 3rd party license to Tribbox buyers.

Best regards,
Ron
